23.1 Connecting brake hoses. The numerical designations are mentioned in the text
When disconnecting the brake hoses, proceed as follows:
- Loosen the union nut (1) of the metal connection of the brake hose (2) until the spring (3) is loosened.
- Disconnect the hose from the toothed couplings (4).
- If necessary, you can unscrew the hose from the disc brake caliper.
- When installing, insert the end of the hose into the metal holder and install the spring (3).
- Connect the metal hose connection and tighten the union nut. Make sure that the hose does not twist when tightening the union nut.
- To check, have an assistant turn the steering wheel from one extreme position to the other and make sure that the brake hose does not touch the suspension parts. Otherwise, loosen the connection and install the hose in a new position.
- All brake hoses that have damage on the outside must be replaced, regardless of the condition of the inside surface.
