Precautions when removing and installing brake caliper or brake hose
For safety reasons and to avoid twisting of the brake hoses, as well as the possibility of them touching the suspension parts, the following work order must be observed.
brake hose
Removing
Loosen cap nut 1 (nipple wrench), connecting the tube and hose 2 so that the spring 3 is completely released, which would make it possible to remove the hose tip from the slotted hole 4.
Remove the hose from the floating bracket and remove the bracket if necessary.
Installation
Install the floating bracket in place and screw the hose into the hole in the working cylinder of the bracket, then tighten the tip to 14 Nm.
The brake hoses are screwed on in the following position of the suspension installed on the vehicle:
- wheels are hung out;
- wheels in straight ahead position.
Fix the nipple end of the hose on the bracket 5 without twisting the hose and check that the nozzle 4 fits freely into the slotted hole of the bracket, and then install:
- spring 3;
- tube onto the hose, taking care not to twist the hose when screwing it on.
Tighten the fitting to the required torque. Remove air from the brake hydraulic drive.
