- ABS (anti-lock braking system). The main function of the ABS is electronic brake force distribution (Electronic brake force distributor) between the front and rear wheels by adjusting the rear wheel slip and preventing wheel lockup by adjusting the slip of all four wheels;
- SKMD (MSR) (Engine torque control system). Prevention of slippage of the drive wheels when the accelerator pedal is released by limiting the braking torque of the engine.
On this vehicle, the ESP trajectory stabilization system performs the following functions:
- ABS (anti-lock braking system). The main function of the ABS is electronic brake force distribution (Electronic brake force distributor) between the front and rear wheels by adjusting the rear wheel slip and preventing wheel lockup by adjusting the slip of all four wheels;
- SKMD (MSR) (Engine torque control system). Prevention of slippage of the drive wheels when the accelerator pedal is released by limiting the braking torque of the engine;
- teaching staff (ASR) (traction control system). Limiting the slippage of the drive wheels when starting off and accelerating by limiting the engine torque and braking the wheel or wheels that have begun to slip;
- ESP (trajectory stabilization system). Trajectory stabilization system limits over or under control by braking some wheels and controlling engine torque;
- SKNU (CSV) control system of insufficient controllability. A special vehicle control system in case of pronounced insufficient controllability when turning, which provides sharp braking of the vehicle when a special circuit of the trajectory stabilization system is activated;
- SET (AFU) (emergency braking system). This system is not linked to electronic ABS and ESP. It is implemented mechanically in the brake servo system;
- GUTM (WILLOW) (brake boost hydraulic system). This function provides compensation for insufficient vacuum in the vacuum brake booster. Usually the vacuum is taken while the engine is running. Trajectory stabilization system detects with pressure sensor and wheel speed sensor (speed reduction) insufficient efficiency of the braking system. In this case, the brake boost hydraulic system supplements the actions of the driver by supplying a control signal to the hydraulic block pump and thus compensating for insufficient braking efficiency (emergency braking system);
- ASTM (Automatic Chassis Aging Compensation System). This function allows the ECU to take into account dynamic changes in the chassis during vehicle operation (Chassis aging compensation). ESP may revert to original configuration when this feature is disabled;
- automatic stoplight. If there is a control system for insufficient controllability (only in the presence of SKNU) The ESP ECU activates the brake lights via a relay to warn of a sudden decrease in speed caused by the system (depending on the legislation of the countries).
The system also provides vehicle speed information via wired communication to the audio system and the electric sunroof control ECU, and via the multiplex network to the remaining ECUs. The ABS/ESP ECU transmits vehicle speed data to the instrument cluster and navigation system via a multiplex network.
