Adjustment
Incorrect parking brake adjustment:
- prevents normal operation of the automatic wear compensation device for the rear brake pads;
- causes an increase in brake pedal travel.
Do not under any circumstances adjust the cable tension again to correct this problem, as it will quickly reoccur.
The parking brake should not be used to eliminate the gap between the brake pads and the disc, the parking brake should only be adjusted when replacing:
- brake pads;
- cables;
- parking brake lever.
Adjustments other than those specified are not permitted.
Adjustment is made in the car interior on the central console.
Adjusting the center console
In the center armrest, lift the cover and adjust the parking brake lever nut.

Adjustment on the wheel

Remove both rear wheels.
Make sure that:
- the cables slide well in the sheaths;
- the parking brake levers move, set them to the lowest position.
Adjust the parking brake so that the end of the cable contacts the lever without causing it to move.
Fine-tune the adjustment so that the levers begin to move between 1 and 2 clicks of the parking brake lever travel and remain released at the 2nd click.
Install the wheels.
