Brake discs (Renault Espace I)

Brake discs cannot be ground and must be replaced if excessively worn. Brake disc wear must not exceed 0.5 mm on both sides. Check the brake disc for runout using a dial micrometer. To do this, attach the micrometer with the holder so that the measuring finger is positioned on a diameter of 228 mm from the outside. The maximum permissible runout on the indicator is 0.07 mm.

To remove the disc, remove the brake pads as described earlier and unscrew the two bolts (3) (see illustration 13.4), after which the caliper can be removed. Remove the rear wheel hub.

Install the disk in the reverse order. Install the wheel hub in place.
