Brake discs cannot be ground and must be replaced if excessive wear occurs. Brake disc wear cannot exceed 0.5 mm on both sides. Check the brake disc with a dial micrometer for runout. To do this, fix the micrometer with the holder in such a way that the measuring finger is located on the outside of the diameter of 228 mm. The largest allowable runout on the indicator is 0.07 mm.
To remove the disc, remove the brake pads as described earlier and unscrew the two bolts (3) (see illustration 13.4), after which the caliper can be removed. Remove the rear wheel hub.
Install the disc in reverse order. Install the wheel hub.
