Attention:
- Be sure to replace the brake master cylinder with a new one if it has been hit or dropped (risk of failure).
- Prepare suitable containers to collect fluid and take measures to protect surrounding components from contact with brake fluid.
Removing the brake master cylinder
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Using a syringe, remove the brake fluid from the reservoir.
3. Place a suitable container to collect the brake fluid remaining in the master cylinder that may leak out when it is removed.
4. Disconnect connector (1) brake fluid level sensor.
5. Disconnect the feed line from the clutch master cylinder.
6. Remove the fixing pin of the brake fluid reservoir.
7. Remove the brake fluid reservoir.
8. Close the opened holes with plugs.
9. To disconnect brake pipelines and to remove the main brake cylinder.
10. Close the openings of the main brake cylinder and brake pipelines with plugs.
Installation of the main brake cylinder
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Attention: Do not remove plugs from components until immediately before installation. Also remove new components from packaging just before installation.
Note: Observe the tightening torques for the screw connections of the brake system components (see table at the beginning of the chapter).
Bleed the hydraulic circuit of the brake system.
