Caution: To avoid loss of brake effectiveness, do not kink the brake booster vacuum line.
Prepare suitable containers to collect the fluid and take measures to protect surrounding components from contact with brake fluid.
Removal the brake booster
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the master brake cylinder.
3. Remove the brake booster check valve.
4. Tilt the connecting part down and remove the safety pin between the vacuum booster rod and the brake pedal from the inside of the car.
5. Unscrew the brake booster nuts from the inside of the car (nuts secure the pedal bracket to the bulkhead).

Installing a vacuum brake booster
Caution: Be sure to replace the connecting pin between the brake pedal and the vacuum booster rod with a new one.
1. Make sure that the brake booster has a seal. If the seal is damaged, replace it with a new one.

2. Before installation, make sure that the dimension (X1) is 155.55 mm.

3. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Caution: To avoid breaking the connection between the brake booster rod and the brake pedal, make sure that the safety pin is secured to the brake booster rod by tilting it from top to bottom.
4. After installation, bleed the brake system.
