Tightening torques, Nm
- Brake pipe union nuts 17.
- Vacuum booster mounting nut 18.
Removal
1. Disconnect the wires from the battery.
2. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector in the reservoir.
3. Remove the injection system computer (depending on the vehicle version).
4. Release the power steering reservoir from its mounting and move it to the side towards the engine.
5. Empty and remove the brake fluid reservoir by pulling it upwards (take measures to collect leaking brake fluid).
6. Remove the tubes and mark their location.
7. Remove the two vacuum booster mounting nuts.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. Check the length of the vacuum booster rod. X = 22.3 mm.
3. Adjust the length of the rod using the adjusting bolt P.
Note: On these vehicles, the brake master cylinder is combined with the vacuum booster. The tightness of the vacuum booster is directly related to the tightness of the brake master cylinder. A new sealing ring C must be installed when performing any work (figure 8.8).
4. Install the brake master cylinder coaxially with the vacuum booster so that the booster rod adjusting bolt enters the brake master cylinder body to the required depth.
5. Fill the reservoir with brake fluid and remove air from the brake circuit.
