Tightening torques, Nm
- Union nuts for brake pipes 17.
- Vacuum booster mounting nut 18.
Removing
1. Disconnect the wires from the battery.
2. Disconnect a socket of the gauge of level of a brake liquid in a tank.
3. Remove the injection computer (depending on vehicle version).
4. Release the reservoir of the power steering and move it to the side towards the engine.
5. Empty and remove by pulling up the brake fluid reservoir (take measures to collect the escaping brake fluid).
6. Remove the tubes and mark their location.
7. Remove two nuts of fastening of the vacuum amplifier.
Installation
1. Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
2. Check the length of the vacuum booster rod. X = 22.3 mm.
3. Adjust the stem length with the adjusting bolt P.
Note: on these vehicles, the brake master cylinder is integrated with the vacuum booster. The tightness of the vacuum booster is directly related to the tightness of the master brake cylinder. A new O-ring C must be installed for any work (pic. 8.8).
4. Install the main brake cylinder coaxially with the vacuum booster so that the adjusting bolt of the booster rod enters the body of the main brake cylinder to the required depth.
5. Fill the reservoir with brake fluid and bleed the air from the brake circuit.
