Note: Brake force regulators differ depending on the type of rear axle:
- normal load rear axle: red mark;
- heavy-duty rear axle: green mark.
Special tool required
- Fre. 244-03 or Fre. 1085-01 Pressure gauge for checking the performance of the brake force regulator.
Tightening torques, Nm
- Cap nuts 17.
- Brake force regulator mounting bolt 18.
- Brake force regulator pressure lever adjustment nut 10.
Removal
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the brake pipes.
3. Disconnect the pressure lever 2 from the brake force regulator by loosening the tightening of nut 1.
4. Remove the brake force regulator (two bolts).
Caution! Do not change the position of nut 3.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
1. Remove air and check the condition of the brake circuit (see chapter "Maintenance").
2. Check the pressure in the system (see chapter "Maintenance").
