Special tool required


  • Fre. 823 Device for returning the piston of the brake cylinder.

Tightening torques, Nm


  • Wheel mounting bolts 90.
  • Bolt for fastening the guide pin of the floating brake caliper 40.

Removal



1. Disconnect the brake pad wear indicator light wire (if available).

2. Push the piston inward while moving the floating bracket outward with your hands.

3. Loosen the lower bolt of the floating bracket guide pin.

3. Loosen the lower bolt of the floating bracket guide pin.


4. Rotate the floating bracket around the upper guide pin bolt.

5. Remove the brake pads.

6. Check the condition and fastening of the piston dust ring.

7. Check the condition of the guide pin protective cover.

Installation



1. Push the piston inward with the force of the Fre. 823 device.

2. Install new pads.

3. Brake shoe with wire (brake pad wear indicator light if present), is installed from the inside.

4. Install the floating bracket into place and install the lower guide pin bolt.

5. Tighten the lower bolt to the recommended tightening torque of 40 Nm.

6. Connect the brake pad wear indicator lamp wire (if available).

7. Press the brake pedal several times to bring the piston into contact with the pads.
