Repair of the gearbox control lever linkage consists of replacing the control lever when vibrations and increased play in the lever appear, caused by wear of its ball joint. The lever can be replaced without removing the linkage from the car interior. The linkage itself is removed from the car if it is damaged.

Note: For clarity, the replacement of the gearbox control lever is shown with the gear shift linkage removed.

1. Disconnect the fasteners (see "Replacing elements of the exhaust system") and move the exhaust system to the side.

Note. The manufacturer recommends partially removing the exhaust system to remove the gearshift lever linkage. However, the system does not need to be disassembled or removed completely. It is enough to disconnect the intake pipe from the exhaust manifold, disconnect the suspension cushions of the system in the area of the exhaust neutralizer and move the system to the side.
