Tightening torques, Nm
- Gearbox control mechanism housing fastening nut: 15.
- Bolt of terminal connection of tip with control shaft: 20.
- Bolt securing control shaft end to gear shift lever: 30.
- Control shaft fork axle mounting nut: 30.
Removal
1. Disconnect the wires from the battery.
2. On the vehicle, remove the cover from the instrument panel console and unscrew the two mounting bolts.

3. From below the car:
- disconnect the exhaust pipe;
- unscrew the heat shield mounting bolts;

- remove the control shaft fork axle nut;
- remove the four nuts securing the gearbox control housing.

4. Unscrew the control shaft fork axle nuts.
5. Loosen the bolt securing the control shaft end to the gear shift lever.

Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. Lubricate the gear shift lever pivots and the control shaft pivot pin with 33 Medium grease
3. Ensure that the control shaft terminal is positioned correctly: with the protrusion towards the gearbox.
Adjustment
Special tool required
- B.Vi. 1133 Wedge insert for locking the gear selector lever in the first gear position.
Tightening torques, Nm
- Bolt of terminal connection of tip with control shaft: 20.
1. Remove the mudguard.

2. Engage first gear.
3. Loosen the V bolt.
4. Install insert B.Vi. 1133 to eliminate gaps.

5. At the same time, pull the end of the insert down and turn it at an angle of approximately 45° until it touches the protrusion on the gearbox housing.

6. Press the lower reverse gear lock mechanism on the gear shift lever against the stop on the control housing, placing a 9 mm thick feeler gauge on the stop.

7. In this position, tighten the V bolt.
8. Check the resulting gap Y, which should be 7-10 mm.

9. Remove insert B.Vi. 1133
10. Check that the gears are engaged correctly.
11. Install the mudguard.
