They remove mudguards and engine crankcase protection if they are damaged or to provide access to components and assemblies from below the car during repairs and maintenance.
Each mudguard (right and left) consists of two parts, top and bottom.
Note. The removal of the right mudguard is shown, the left mudguard is removed in the same way.
You will need: TORX T20 wrench, flat and Phillips screwdrivers, wrench «on 10».
1. To remove the lower part of the mudguard, unscrew the three front bolts...
Note. The front bumper is simultaneously fixed with three bolts of fastening the lower part of the mudguard.
2.... and a latch of one rear fastening piston...
3....then remove the piston.
4. Prying with a screwdriver...
5.... remove the large piston securing the lower part of the right mudguard.
Note. It is more convenient to remove large pistons with a puller specially designed for this.
6. Disengage the clips on the lower part of the mudguard from the upper part and the front bumper...
7.... and remove the lower part.
8. To remove the upper part of the mudguard, pry with a screwdriver...
9.... remove the piston of its lower mount...
10.... unscrew the plastic nut of the upper attachment to the body...
11.... and remove the upper part of the mudguard.
12. Establish mudguards in an order, the return to removal.
13. To remove the crankcase, unscrew the six bolts securing the protective shield...
14.... and remove the shield.
15. Install the crankcase protection in the reverse order of removal.
