Only for injection pump SR1
This operation may introduce particles into the drain circuit which may block or impair the operation of the pressure regulator. These particles then settle in the fuel filter.
For flushing, it is necessary to simultaneously create pressure in the fuel supply circuit to the injection pump and apply a control signal to the pressure control solenoid valve in the fuel distribution rail.
Order of execution
When off «ignition», remove the fuel pump relay.
Shunt the fuel pump relay supply circuit in the engine and relay fuse box.
Connect the diagnostic tool and turn on «ignition».
Connect to the system, then enter command mode.
Run command AC035 3-5 times «Fuel pressure control solenoid valve».
Turn off «ignition».
Remove the jumper and reinstall the injection pump relay.
Turn on «ignition» and connect to the system.
Erase the fault «fuel pump relay».
Start the engine and read the rail pressure reading. If after the operation there was an increase in pressure in the rail: repeat the flushing procedure to ensure its maximum effectiveness. During the subsequent road test, fully depress the throttle control several times to bring the particles into the tank.
If after the operation the pressure has not changed: repeat (or do) diagnostic procedure «AC035», stage 2.
