If the valve is replaced, the memorized settings must be deleted (RZ002 «Parameters of adaptive correction of SROG»), so that the new valve adjustment offset can be used in the strategy.
The data associated with this strategy is grouped into sub-functions «Decreased Toxicity/BSD».
ET272: PROGRAMMING THE FIRST OFFSET OF THE EGR VALVE ADJUSTMENT - passed or failed.
PR128: FIRST RECIRCULATION VALVE ADJUSTMENT FIRST OFFSET = 0.75 V < x < 1.5 V (variation in manufacturing).
PR129: LAST EGR VALVE ADJUSTMENT OFFSET > or = PR128.
PR051: MONITORING THE POSITION OF THE EGR VALVE (very close to PR 129. when the valve is closed).
Parameters PR128 and PR129 must be cleared every time the EGR valve is replaced.
Procedure to be followed after replacing the EGR valve
Select menu «DELETE». Give command RZ002 «Parameters of adaptive correction of SROG».
Note. At the end of the command execution, the subfunction «Decreased Toxicity/BSD» shows: ET272: failed:
- PR 128 and PR 129 = 0.00 V;
- PR051 = 0.75 V < x < 1.5 V.
After executing the command, turn off «ignition». Wait for the end of the ECU self-feeding phase.
The parameter values will be updated automatically the next time the power is turned on «ignition».
Note. After performing the reinitialization, the subfunction «Toxic reduction system/BSD» displays:
- ET272: done:
- 0.75 V
Nozzle replacement
Note. IMA code (individual injector performance correction) is a calibration performed at the factory for each injector in order to fine-tune its performance.
These adjustment values are stamped on the bakelite body of each injector in the form of a 6-digit alphanumeric code and are recorded in the computer's memory. which then controls each injector, taking into account the spread of performance between them.
After replacing one or more injectors, enter the IMA codes for the new injectors. The system can be reprogrammed via the diagnostic socket using the RENAULT CUP diagnostic tool.
To do this, read the codes «1MA», embossed on the injector bodies. and enter them into the ECU using command SC002 «Entering injector codes», then follow the instructions. provided by the diagnostic tool.
Attention! After executing the command, turn off «ignition" and exit diagnostic mode.
Wait for the immobilizer warning light to start flashing (few seconds) and turn on «ignition».
Re-enter diagnostic mode.
Select function «ECU identification» on the main screen.
Make sure the codes entered into the ECU match the codes on the injector bodies.
If the codes do not match, repeat the procedure using command SC002 «Entering injector codes».
Then check for faults in the system and clear any stored faults from the memory.
If there are no 8 ECU faults, the operation is considered completed.
If there are faults, deal with the faults that are present.
