Attention! Before carrying out any work, connect the after-sales diagnostic tool. Establish communication with the injection computer and check that the injection rail is not pressurized.
Take precautions against possible burns from hot fuel.
Removing
Note. Nozzles can be replaced one at a time.
Disconnect the high pressure fuel line from the injector using tool Mot. 1383.
Plug the holes with plugs. Remove:
- injector mounting flange;
- nozzle;
- flame retardant washer.
Cleaning
It is strictly forbidden to use for cleaning nozzles:
- metal brushes;
- emery skin;
- ultrasonic cleaning.
To clean the nozzle sprayer, dip it for a while in some kind of degreasing liquid, then wipe it with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Installation
When installing, replace the injector washer with a new one.
Note. Be careful when installing the injector. so as not to load the high pressure fuel line voltage. To do this, loosen the fuel rail mounting bolts.
Install the injector and fuel return line 1.
Install the high pressure fuel line.
Tighten to specified torques:
- nozzle 1;
- high pressure fuel line fitting on the injector, then on the fuel distribution rail;
- ramp bolts 2.
Note. Each time the injectors are removed, the fuel return line connected to them must be replaced.
After performing any work, check that there are no fuel leaks. Let the engine idle until the cooling fan turns on. then increase the idle speed several times.
