Attention! Before carrying out any work, connect the aftermarket diagnostic tool, communicate with the injection computer and check that the injection rail is not pressurized.
Take precautions against possible burns from hot fuel.
Removing
Disconnect the battery.
Install a support bar Mot. 1453.
Set the crankshaft to TDC on cylinder 1 and lock the crankshaft with lock Mot. 1054.
Remove:
- right front wheel and mudguard;
- pendulum suspension;
- cover of the drive of the gas distribution mechanism;
- fit the high pressure fuel line using tool Mot. 1383;
- ramp.
Plug the holes with protective plugs.
Disconnect the return pipe from the injection pump and plug the holes with protective plugs.
Remove the rear bracket for the injection pump pump.
Install tool Mot. 1200-01.
Loosen the high pressure pump gear nut.
Install puller Mot. 1525 with adapter Mot. 1525-01 on the injection pump pulley and compress the pulley assembly.
Loosen the nuts for fastening the injection pump, holding the bolts 1.
Installation
Installation is made in an order, the return to removal.
Note. Be careful not to stress the high pressure fuel line.
Screw the nuts securing the high pressure fuel lines to the injection pump and injectors, then from the rail side. Tighten the nuts to the specified torque in the same order. as with preload.
Tighten the high pressure rail mounting bolts.
Each time the injection pump is removed, the fuel return line 2 must be replaced.
Install:
- pendulum suspension;
- rear mounting bracket 1 injection pump.
Tighten the cylinder head mounting bolts first, then the rail mounting bolt.
For injection pump SRZ
Fill the system with fuel using the manual priming pump.
After performing any work, check that there are no fuel leaks. Let the engine idle until the electric fan of the cooling system turns on, then increase the engine idle speed several times.
For injection pump SR1
Fill the system with fuel:
- turn off the faucet (R);
- turn on the low pressure pump by placing the card in the reader several times in the 2nd fixed position;
- start the engine;
- turn on the faucet (R) (in the open position of the tap, two colored marks on it are combined).
Note. Some vehicles do not have this valve. In this case, the fuel system refilling operations are not performed.
