Disconnect the fuel supply and return lines (4).

Disconnect the fuel drain line connecting the injectors to the high-pressure fuel pump.

Plug the holes.

Move the gutter and wire harness aside.

Clean the high pressure fuel line fittings between the rail and the injectors.

Clean the high pressure line fittings between the fuel injection pump and the fuel rail.

Loosen the tightening:
  • nuts for fastening the high-pressure fuel line to the high-pressure fuel pump,
  • nuts securing the high-pressure fuel line from the fuel distribution rail side.

Close the holes with plugs.

Installation

Parts that must be replaced: high-pressure fuel line between the high-pressure fuel pump and the fuel distribution rail.

Attention!
  • Before installing the high-pressure fuel line, lubricate the threads of the nuts with a thin layer of oil from the tube included in the kit of new parts.
  • Be careful not to let oil get into the high pressure fuel lines.
  • Do not lubricate high pressure fuel lines supplied without a bottle of oil, these high pressure fuel lines are already lubricated.
  • Remove the plugs immediately before installing the part in place.

Remove the plugs immediately before installing the part in place.

Remove the plugs.

Insert the tip of the high-pressure fuel line into the cone of the outlet of the fuel injection pump.

Insert the high pressure fuel line tip into the cone of the rail inlet.

Tighten by hand until the high pressure fuel line nut touches, starting with the nut on the fuel rail side.

Lightly pre-tighten the high pressure fuel line nuts.

Tighten to the specified torque:
  • the nut for fastening the high-pressure pipeline connecting the high-pressure fuel pump and the fuel distribution rail, high-pressure fuel pump (28 Nm),
  • the nut securing the high-pressure pipeline connecting the high-pressure fuel pump and the fuel distribution rail to the fuel distribution rail (28 Nm).

Install the gutter onto the fuel rail.

Attach:
  • connector of wires from the pressure sensor in the fuel rail,
  • fuel drain line connecting the injectors to the high-pressure fuel pump,
  • fuel supply and drain lines,
  • wiring blocks to the fuel injection pump.

Connect the connectors:
  • injectors,
  • glow plugs.

Install the dipstick tube.

Install the dipstick tube.

Tighten the nuts securing the gutter and the dipstick tube to the fuel rail to the specified torque (21 Nm).

Connect the battery.

Fill the system with fuel using a hand fuel priming pump.

Perform a high pressure fuel circuit check.

Install the top engine cover.
