Important note.
- Before working on the injection system, use the diagnostic tool to check that the rail pressure has been released and that the fuel temperature is not too high.
- When carrying out any work, the instructions for cleanliness and safety given in this document must be observed. It is strictly forbidden to carry out any work on the injection system while the engine is running.
Note: Before opening the fuel supply system, make sure you have a new bypass valve.
Removing
Disconnect the battery.
Remove the engine top cover.
Remove the dipstick tube and filler neck nuts (1).
Move aside the oil dipstick tube (2).
Disconnect the fuel supply and return lines (3).
Disconnect the fuel drain line (4) connecting the injector to the injection pump.
Remove:
- bolt (5) bypass valve (6),
- relief valve.
Install the plugs on the holes.
Installation
Attention! Remove the plugs immediately before installing the part in place.
Lubricate the O-ring with grease from the tube supplied with the new part.
Parts that must be replaced: bypass valve.
Note: Be careful not to damage the gasket when installing.
Reinstall the bypass valve.
Torque tighten the bypass valve mounting bolt (6 Nm).
Connect the fuel drain line connecting the injector to the injection pump.
Connect the battery.
Start the engine.
Check for fuel leakage.
Install the engine top cover.
