Nuts for fixing the fuel distribution ramp | 28 Nm |
Nuts of fastening of the high-pressure fuel line connecting the fuel distribution rail and high-pressure fuel pump | 28 Nm |
Nuts of fastening of a trench and a tube of an oil dipstick on a fuel distribution rail | 21 Nm |
Removing
Disconnect the battery.
Remove:
- engine top cover
- air filter housing.
Loosen the nuts (1) oil dipstick and neck.
Set aside the oil dipstick tube.
Disconnect connectors (2):
- glow plugs,
- nozzles.
Disconnect the injection pump connectors (3).
Turn away bolts of fastening of a trench to a fuel-distributing stage.
Set aside the gutter and wire harness.
Remove the holders holding the high pressure fuel lines together.
Clean the high pressure fuel line fittings between the rail and injectors.
Loosen the tightness:
- nuts securing the high pressure fuel line to the injector,
- rail high pressure fuel line nuts.
Remove the fuel line and throw it in the trash.
Close the holes with plugs.
Installation
Parts to be replaced: High pressure fuel line between rail and injector.
Attention!
- Before installing the high pressure fuel line, lightly coat the nut threads with oil from the tube included in the new parts kit.
- Be careful not to get oil into the high pressure fuel lines.
- Do not lubricate the high pressure fuel lines supplied without a bottle of oil, these high pressure fuel lines are already lubricated.
- Remove the plugs immediately before installing the part in place.
In case of replacement of four high-pressure fuel lines: Loosen the rail mounting nuts a few turns (the ramp must move freely).
Remove plugs.
Insert the end of the high pressure fuel line into the injector inlet cone.
Install the high pressure fuel line end into the rail outlet cone.
Tighten the high pressure fuel line nuts by hand, starting with the nuts on the injector side.
Lightly pre-tighten the high pressure fuel line nuts.
Note: The order of installation of the high pressure fuel lines between the rail and the injectors does not matter.
Install the new holder supplied with the high pressure fuel line.
When replacing the four high pressure fuel lines, tighten the rail mounting nuts to the required torque (28 Nm).
Torque tighten the nuts for the high pressure fuel line connecting the fuel rail and injection pump in the order shown (28 Nm):
- on the side of the injectors
- from the side of the fuel rail.
Note: Fully tighten the fuel line before proceeding to the next one.
Install the chute to the fuel rail.
Connect connectors:
- injectors,
- glow plugs.
Install the oil dipstick tube.
Install the oil dipstick tube.
Torque tighten the nuts securing the chute and dipstick tube to the fuel rail (21 Nm).
Connect the battery.
Fill the system with fuel using the manual fuel priming pump.
Perform a high pressure fuel circuit test.
Install:
- air filter housing,
- engine top cover.
