Parts and materials for repair
Materials used:
- cleaning wipes,
- set of plugs for the K9K engine.
Important note: To avoid damage to the systems, strictly follow the safety, cleanliness and work instructions.
Examination
Remove the air filter housing.
Disconnect:
- fuel drain lines (1) from injectors,
- fuel outlet pipe (2) oi Venturi tube installed on the high-pressure fuel pump.
Note: Take measures to collect any leaking fuel.
Install the appropriate plug on the venturi tube.
Note: It is mandatory to install a plug in the bypass valve hole. This is necessary to prevent the fuel drain circuit from being emptied.
Connect the four transparent fuel lines (3) of the device to the drain holes of the injectors.
Place the ends of these tubes into the four graduated cylinders (4) provided.
Note: If necessary, hang the included measuring cup holder from the hood.
Connect the diagnostic tool to the vehicle.
Disconnect the transparent tubes from the kit.
Remove the clear tubes from the beakers in the kit.
Empty the fuel from the beakers.
Attach:
- fuel drain lines to injectors,
- fuel drain line to the injection pump bypass valve.
Replace one or more faulty injectors.
Check for fuel leaks.
Check with a diagnostic tool for the absence of stored faults, process them if necessary and delete their codes from the ECU memory.
Disconnect the diagnostic tool.
Install the air filter housing.
