Removal



Disconnect the battery.

Remove the top engine cover.

Unscrew the nuts (1) of the oil dipstick and neck.

Move the dipstick tube (2) to the side.

Move the dipstick tube (2) to the side.


Disconnect:
  • glow plugs (3),
  • injectors(4),
  • connectors on the fuel injection pump (5),
  • fuel drain line connecting the injectors to the high-pressure fuel pump.

Clean the fuel supply and return lines.

Disconnect the fuel supply and return lines (6).

Disconnect the fuel supply and return lines (6).


Close the holes with plugs.



Disconnect:
  • pressure sensor (7) from the fuel distribution rail.
  • the wiring harness from the accelerometer sensor (8).

Loosen the engine wiring (9) and move it to the side.

Remove:
  • a groove (10) located on the spherical fuel distribution rail,
  • high pressure fuel line connecting the high pressure fuel pump and the fuel distribution rail,
  • high pressure fuel lines between the fuel rail and the injectors.

Remove:
  • fuel rail mounting nuts (11),
  • fuel distribution rail.

Installation



Attention! Remove the plugs immediately before installing the part in place.


Install the fuel rail.

Tighten the nuts by hand.

Install:
  • high pressure fuel lines between the fuel rail and the injectors,
  • high pressure fuel line between the high pressure fuel pump and the fuel distribution rail.

Tighten the fuel rail mounting nuts to the specified torque (28 Nm).

Install the groove located on the fuel rail.

Secure the engine wiring to the neck.

Attach:
  • the wiring harness from the accelerometer sensor,
  • fuel rail pressure sensor,
  • a fuel drain line connecting the injectors to the high-pressure fuel pump, a supply and drain fuel line to the high-pressure fuel pump,
  • connectors on the fuel injection pump,
  • injectors,
  • glow plugs.

Install the dipstick tube.

Tighten the fuel filler neck and dipstick mounting nuts on the fuel rail to the required torque (21 Nm).

Start the engine.

Check for fuel leaks.

Perform a high pressure fuel circuit check.

Install the top engine cover.

Connect the battery.
