The injectors are attached to the fuel distribution rail with holders.

Fuel constantly circulates around the injector body, which prevents the formation of gasoline vapor bubbles and makes it easier to start a hot engine.

Removal



Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.

Remove the upper engine covers and intake manifold.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the injectors.

Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the fuel rail by carefully pulling it towards you (see fig. 2.206).

Remove the injector holders and the injectors themselves (fig. 2.213).

Caution! If you have removed the fuel rail and injectors, be sure to replace the sealing rings and injector holders.


Installation



Install the fuel rail.

tighten the fuel rail mounting bolts to the required torque (9 Nm).

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.
