Removal
Drain the fuel from the tank.
Remove the "fuel pump - fuel level sensor - fuel filter" assembly.
Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.
Remove:
- engine oil pan protection;
- nuts securing the flange of the inlet pipe to the exhaust manifold;
- bolt for mounting additional muffler on the body;
- connecting bolts on the main muffler suspension bracket;
- exhaust pipe, placing it on the subframe and on the rear suspension beam.
Disconnect the wires from the headlight range control body height sensor (depending on the vehicle configuration).
Disconnect the headlight range control body height sensor stand (depending on the vehicle configuration).
Remove the adsorber.
Disconnect the pipes from the adsorber.
Disconnect the connectors of the "fuel pump - fuel level sensor - fuel filter" unit.

Remove the fuel tank and heat shield mounting bolts, remove the holders and heat shield (fig. 2.217).

Remove the brake line and fuel line holders (fig. 2.218).
Disconnect the catalytic converter fuel line fittings and the fuel lines from the holders.

Remove the clamps from the hose connecting the fuel tank to the filler neck (fig. 2.219).
Move the hoses aside.
Place a hydraulic jack under the fuel tank.

Remove the fuel tank mounting bolts (fig. 2.220).
Lower the fuel tank.

Remove the fuel tank by rotating it around the outlet pipe (fig. 2.221).
When removing, be careful not to damage the brake lines or the parking brake cable.
Installation
Straighten the heat shield.
Make sure the heat shield does not touch the fuel tank.
Fuel tank hose clamps must be replaced with new ones.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten to the specified torque:
- wheel bolts (110 Nm);
- fuel tank mounting bolts (21 Nm).
Check the reliability of the fuel lines.
Install the "fuel pump - fuel level sensor - fuel filter" assembly.
Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.
