Removal
Disconnect the battery.
Remove the top engine cover.
Unscrew the nuts (1) of the oil dipstick and neck.
Move the dipstick tube (2) to the side.
Remove the high-pressure fuel line connecting the high-pressure fuel pump to the fuel distribution rail (3).
Disconnect the wire connector (4) of the accelerometer sensor.
Remove the accelerometer sensor using the tool.
Installation
Install the accelerometer sensor.
Tighten the accelerometer sensor to the specified torque (20 Nm) using the tool.
Connect the accelerometer sensor connector.
Install:
- high pressure fuel line connecting the high pressure fuel pump to the fuel distribution rail,
- oil dipstick tube.
Tighten the nuts securing the gutter and the dipstick tube to the fuel rail to the specified torque (21 Nm).
Connect the battery.
Perform programming of the accelerometer sensor if it has been replaced.
Note: When replacing the accelerometer sensor, run command RZ004 using the Diagnostic Tool to perform the necessary programming.
Perform a high pressure fuel circuit check.
Install the top engine cover.
