Required special tool
- Mot. 1054 TDC lock.
- Mot. 1200 Mot. 1317 Tool for fixing the injection pump pulley.
Tightening torques, Nm
- RAM pulley nut (with high-precision angle adjustment) on the injection pump shaft: 45.
- Pump mounting bolts: 22.
Removing
1. Disconnect the battery and remove cover 1 of the engine pendulum suspension support.
2. Casing 2 of the injection pump pulley.
3. Lock the crankshaft with pin Mot. 1054. To do this, turn the crankshaft so that the mark on the camshaft sprocket is aligned with the mounting lug in the hatch of the upper cover of the timing gear (use mirror).
4. Remove fuel supply line A.
5. Remove fuel return line B.
6. Remove pump connector C.
7. Remove the fuel control cable D.
8. Remove the vacuum hose E connected to the fast idle air actuator.
9. Remove the high pressure lines using tool Mot. 1383.
10. Remove the rear bracket bolt.
11. Install tool Mot. 1200 or Mot. 1317 to fix the pump pulley.
12. Remove the three pump mounting bolts using a Phillips screwdriver through the holes in the RAM pulley.
13. Remove the center nut securing the RAM pulley to the pump shaft.
14. Turn away completely alternately the central nut and three bolts of fastening of the pump.
15. Remove the pump.
Installation
1. Thoroughly clean the pump shaft of grease using a solvent.
2. Replace the pump.
3. Torque tighten the three pump mounting bolts.
4. Pre-tighten the central nut to 20 Nm.
Attention! Always pre-tighten, final tighten the central nut with a torque of 45 Nm.
5. Set the initial injection advance angle.
6. Perform the remaining installation steps in the reverse order of removal.
