Joint operation of the power steering pressure relay and the injection system control unit

The injection system control unit receives information from the power steering pressure switch, which depends on the pressure in the hydraulic circuit of the system. The higher the pressure, the greater the power consumption of the power steering pump.

To compensate for the increase in energy consumption, the injection control unit increases the opening degree of the idle speed control solenoid valve, maintaining the engine speed at 850 min⁻¹

Idle speed correction depending on battery voltage

This correction is designed to compensate for the voltage drop when a large number of consumers are switched on. when the battery is slightly charged. To do this, the engine idle speed increases, which causes an increase in the generator rotor speed, which in turn increases the charging current. The greater the voltage drop. the more significant the correction. The correction begins when the voltage drops below 12.7 V. The correction begins by maintaining a minimum idle engine speed and can increase the speed to a maximum of 910 min⁻¹.

Idle speed correction depending on the air conditioning system condition

When the air conditioner is turned on, the idle speed of the crankshaft increases to 900 min⁻¹.
