Removal
- Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals and remove the battery.
- Remove the cap from the brake fluid expansion tank and disconnect the electrical connector from the brake fluid level sensor.
- Using a syringe, pump out the brake fluid from the reservoir.
- Remove the brake fluid reservoir by pulling it up.
- Mark the location of the pipes and disconnect them from the master cylinder. Close the pipes and openings of the master cylinder with appropriate plugs
- Unscrew the two nuts securing the master cylinder to the brake booster and remove it.
Installation
- Before installing the brake master cylinder, check the distance to the pushrod «X», which should be 22.3 mm If necessary, adjust the protrusion by turning the adjusting bolt (1, fig. 12.18).

Note. The main brake cylinder is combined with a vacuum brake booster. The tightness of the vacuum booster directly depends on the tightness of the master brake cylinder. Whenever the vacuum booster or brake master cylinder is removed, the O-ring must be replaced (13, fig. 12.17).
- Install the brake master cylinder coaxially with the vacuum booster like this. so that the adjusting bolt (1, fig. 12.18) the pusher entered the body of the main brake cylinder to the required depth.
- Connect the brake pipes to the brake master cylinder.
- Install the brake fluid reservoir by pressing down on it.
- Fill the reservoir with brake fluid.
- Install a plug on the brake fluid expansion tank and connect the electrical connector to the brake fluid level sensor.
- Remove air from the hydraulic brake system.
- Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
