Note
- Be sure to replace the wheel cylinders in pairs, even if only one brake cylinder has failed.
- If there are brake fluid leaks from the working brake cylinder, it is recommended to replace it with a new one rather than repair it.
Removal
- Remove the hub and drum assembly, using a piece of cloth to protect the inner bearing ring.
- Using brake shoe pliers, remove the upper brake shoe tension spring.
- Spread the brake pads.
- Loosen the union nut securing the brake line to the rear drum brake slave cylinder.
- Remove the two bolts securing the rear drum brake slave cylinder.
- Remove the rear drum brake slave cylinder.

Installation
- Check the condition of the brake pads and if there are traces of oil, replace them.
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
- Tighten the brake master cylinder mounting bolts to the specified torque and bleed the brake system circuit.
- Adjust the position of the brake pads by pressing the brake pedal several times.
