Attention. The brake drums must be of the same internal diameter and must be bored at the same time. Never exceed the maximum permissible diameter indicated on the drum. New brake drums are coated with a layer of protective agent, which must be removed with a suitable solvent.
Removal
- Lower the parking brake lever to its lowest position.
- If necessary, loosen the tension on the parking brake cable near the compensator.
- Remove the plug from the brake pad support plate to disable the automatic brake pad wear compensation system (pic. 12.9). Remove the lever finger from the brake pad, to do this, use a screwdriver to press the lever for the manual drive of the pads and move it. After this, move the lever away from the block by sliding it back.

- Using a 30 Torx wrench, remove the two brake drum mounting bolts.
- Remove the brake drum.
- Devices Rou. 943 and Emb 880 remove the hub cap
- Unscrew the hub mounting nut
- Remove the hub and brake drum assembly
Installation
- Use brake cleaner to remove dust from the brake drum and pads.
- Install the brake drum
- Screw in and tighten the hub mounting nut to the required torque.
- Install the cap, replacing the grease if necessary.
- Press the brake pedal several times and adjust the position of the brake pads.
- Adjust the parking brake.
