- Loosen the parking brake console mounting bolt.
- Fully lower the parking brake lever.
- Disconnect the parking brake indicator lamp connector and remove the wiring.
Under the car
- Mark the adjustment size (X, Fig. 12.22) parking brake near the compensator.
- Loosen the adjusting nut and release the parking brake cables from their clamps.
- Remove the two mounting bolts on the bracket.
- Remove the parking brake lever.
Installation
- Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
- Make sure the parking brake linkage is installed to the "X" dimension marked before removal.
- Adjust the parking brake lever travel.
