Front Wheel Speed Sensor (Renault Espace III)

Caution: Avoid dropping or hitting the sensor head.

Removal

• Remove the wheel.
• Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
• Remove the sensor mounting bolt.
• Remove the sensor.

Installation

• Clean the mating surface of the sensor and steering knuckle.
• Lubricate the hole in the steering knuckle to install the sensor
• Install a new sensor.
• Screw in the sensor mounting bolt, having first lubricated its threads with a locking agent.
• Connect the electrical connector to the sensor.
• Use a feeler gauge to measure the distance between the end of the ABS sensor and the rotor teeth by turning the sensor's toothed rotor one revolution
• Install the wheel.
