Removal

- disconnect the negative battery cable;
- raise the front of the car and place safety supports under the body;
- remove the right front wheel and mudguard (mudguard);
- remove the accessory drive belt. Remove the belt using a hex key (1). which serves to lock the tension roller after it has been moved;

- clamp the supply hose with a clamp, installing it as close to the pump as possible to reduce the leakage of working fluid; (Be prepared to clean up any spilled liquid);
Caution! There is a generator installed under the power steering pump. Do not allow the generator to come into contact with working fluid
Figure 6.22. Disconnecting the supply hose (A) and pipe (B) from the power steering pump
- loosen the clamp on the hose and disconnect the hose from the back of the pump (Figure 6.22);
- loosen the connection nipple and remove the high-pressure pipeline from the pump, take measures to prevent the working fluid from getting onto the generator;
- disconnect the power steering pressure sensor connector;
- unscrew the three bolts securing the pump pulley;
- disconnect the pipeline from the fuel rail;

- unscrew the three bolts securing the pump to the bracket...

- ...and remove the pump.

Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Please note the following:
- replace the sealing ring of the high pressure pipe fitting with a new one;
- install a new worm clamp on the supply hose;
- add working fluid to the reserve tank and, while the engine is running, remove air from the power steering system by turning the steering wheel from one extreme position to the other. If necessary, add working fluid to the reserve tank.
Replacing the power steering pump hub
Special tool:
- Differential box bearing puller - T.Ag. 1094
- Pulley Installation Tool - Dir. 1083-01
1. Clamp the pump in a vice on a workbench.
2. Install the device T.Ag. 1094 and press the hub.

Note: Install the bolt (1) between the pump shaft and the pressure bolt of the T.Ag. 1094 device.
3. Install the hub (new) and press it on using the Dir. 1083-01 tool. To facilitate installation, first apply a thin layer of universal grease to the hub.
Note: Place a bushing (2) approximately 25 mm thick between the Dir. 1083-01 tool and the hub.

When pressing, observe the size:
- X — 34.3 mm
