Never remove the expansion tank cap while the engine is hot.
When working in the engine compartment, also beware of the radiator fan or fans suddenly starting.
Do not open the air bleed plug while the engine is running.
Perform flushing and filling of the system on a warm or cold engine.
Never flush the cooling system if the engine is hot (to prevent severe heat stroke).

The cars of the model range currently being produced use a closed pressure engine cooling system (safety valve in the expansion tank cap).
The calibration values of the expansion tank plug valves are given below.
Expansion tank cap valve:
- with a yellow hand image - 1.4 bar;
- with a white hand image - 1.6 bar;
- with a gray hand image - 1.8 bar.
The system uses only type "D" coolant.
