To avoid electric shock to service personnel and / or failure of the electronic ignition system, when working on vehicles with such a system, the following rules must be observed:
- A) Do not disconnect the high voltage wires while the engine is running or do not touch them with your hands when starting the engine;
- b) Disconnect and connect the multi-pin plugs of the ignition and fuel injection system only with the ignition off. Make sure the plugs are properly and incorrectly seated;
- V) Connect and disconnect instrumentation only with the ignition off;
- G) Do not start the engine without properly securing the wire terminals to the battery poles;
- d) Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running;
- e) Disconnect the battery from the on-board network;
- and) Start the engine with a discharged battery only with a 12 V auxiliary battery. Do not use a battery booster for this;
- h) Remove the control unit if the car is exposed to high temperatures over 80°C, for example, in a drying chamber after painting;
- And) Use only high-resistance voltage testers (voltmeter, tester with diode control lamp). Do not check the voltage with a tester with an ordinary light bulb;
- To) Disconnect the battery and remove the control unit when performing welding work on the car;
- l) Do not wash the engine with the ignition on;
- m) Persons with a pacemaker are not allowed to work with electronic ignition systems.
