The system must provide frost resistance:
- at temperatures up to - 25°C±2 for countries with a cold and temperate climate;
- at temperatures up to - 40°C±2 for countries with a very cold climate.
Note. Before starting work, cover electrical equipment with plastic bags.
Change of oil
Remove the expansion tank cap valve.
Open the cooling system by disconnecting the outlet hose from the radiator using the tool (Car. 1363).
Blow out the system by blowing compressed air through the hole in the expansion tank cap to remove as much fluid as possible.
Filling system
Flush the cooling system.
Use GLACEOL RX Coolant (type D).
Fill the cooling system with liquid using the Engine Cooling System Filling and Diagnosis Unit (Mot. 1700).
Pour coolant into the expansion tank up to the upper edge of the filler neck.
Wrap a stopper of a broad tank.
Remove air from the system.
Using approved equipment, measure the frost resistance of the coolant.
Check that there are no leaks and that the heater is working.
Let the engine run at 1500 rpm–1, sharply increasing the speed to the maximum 2-3 times approximately every 2 minutes, until the electric fan turns on again.
