Removal



Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.

Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals, starting with the negative terminal.

Remove:
  • engine Top Covers;
  • front wheels;
  • engine oil pan protection;
  • mudguards.

Disconnect:
  • wiring harness from fog lights (if they are installed);
  • headlight washer fluid supply tubes (if they are installed).

Remove the bumper.

Disconnect both connectors, disconnect the hood lock drive cable, remove the holder and unscrew the radiator mounting bolt (fig. 2.280).

Disconnect the windshield washer fluid supply pipes.

Remove the bumper crossbar (fig. 2.281).

Drain the coolant by disconnecting the drain hose from the radiator.

Disconnect the supply hose from the radiator.

Disconnect the hoses connecting the radiator to the expansion tank.

Disconnect the wiring harness from the electric fan.

Disconnect the air-to-air cooler supply line (fig. 2.282)

Disconnect the air-to-air cooler outlet pipe (fig. 2.283)

Remove the air-to-air cooler.

Disconnect the condenser from the radiator.

Remove the radiator.

Disconnect the electric fan of the engine cooling system from the radiator.



Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Tighten the air-to-air cooler hose clamp to the specified torque (5.5 Nm).

To install elastic clamps, use elastic clamp pliers (Mot. 1202-01).

Caution! When performing the operation, take measures to avoid damaging the fins of the cooling units (radiator, condenser).


Connect the wires to the battery terminals, starting with the positive terminal.
