- Place the vehicle on a two-post lift equipped with wheel chocks
- Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals and remove the battery
- Use the charging station to discharge the refrigerant from the air conditioning system circuit.
- Remove the radiator grille, grille and front bumper, while to access the two bolts you need to bend back the left fender liner.
- First, disconnect the connectors from the fog lights.
- Disconnect the lower radiator hose and drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
- Disconnect the power steering oil cooler and secure it to the engine.
- Unscrew the bolts securing the deflectors to the side member (Fig. 1.93).

- Attach the deflectors to the cooling system assembly.
- Loosen the mounting bolt of the air conditioning hose bracket on the water separator tank.
- Disconnect the three-function pressure switch located under the tank.
- Disconnect the upper hose from the radiator and the connector from the thermal switch located on the right side of the radiator.
- Disconnect the wiring harnesses from the fan guards and leave them hanging on the deflector.
- Place one or two spacers under the lower radiator tank and clear access to the mounting bolts at the ends of the side members.
- Unscrew the two bolts securing the lower radiator tank to the side members and lift the vehicle to remove the cooling system components together with the radiator (Fig. 1.94).
