Removing the steering wheel
1. Perform the procedure for deactivating the airbag system (see chapter "Passive safety system").
2. Remove the driver's front airbag (see chapter "Passive safety system").
3. Set the steering wheel to the straight ahead position.
4. Disconnect connectors.
5. To turn away a bolt of fastening of a steering wheel.
6. Remove the steering wheel.
Steering wheel installation
Attention: Be sure to replace the steering wheel mounting bolt with a new one after each removal.
1. Check contact disc adjustment (see chapter "Passive safety system").
Attention: In order to prevent damage to the steering wheel or steering column, the splines of the steering column are designed in this way. that the steering wheel can only be installed in one position.
2. Install the steering wheel.
3. Connect the connectors.
4. Install a new steering wheel mounting bolt and tighten to 44 Nm.
5. Install the driver's front airbag (see chapter "Passive safety system").
6. Perform airbag system activation procedure (see chapter "Passive safety system").
7. Turn on the ignition.
8. Check the operation of the contact disk by turning the steering wheel all the way to the left and right.
9. Make sure that there are no malfunction indicators on the dashboard.
