When performing any work related to lifting a vehicle on a lift, observe the relevant safety regulations.

Use gloves when performing work.

Work on the power steering system may result in power steering fluid leaking out, so it is necessary to place a suitable tray under the vehicle in advance to collect the fluid, and also use covers to protect the body and suspension elements from getting power steering fluid on them.

Power steering system components should be cleaned using a brake cleaning agent.

To ensure proper operation of the steering system, do not attempt to repair steering system components, but only replace them with new ones if any defects are found. Use only the recommended power steering fluid.

To ensure high-quality repairs, use only the tools and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.

To prevent atmospheric moisture from entering the power steering circuit, use plugs for the various dismantled parts.

To ensure the required tightness of the power steering circuit, replace the power steering pipeline seals with new ones after each removal.

Do not hang the steering column by the adjusting lever.

Do not move the steering column by the adjusting lever or by the electrical wiring.

Move the steering column with the intermediate shaft assembly, holding each section (with one hand on the column and with the other on the intermediate shaft). If the steering column is handled incorrectly, there is a risk of dropping the steering column or intermediate shaft, which can lead to serious damage to the steering system.

It is imperative to replace the steering column with a new one if it has been subjected to impacts or falls.

Do not move the steering gear by the boots or electrical wiring as this may damage them.

When hanging the wheels of the car, the steering rack should not be subjected to forced movement from stop to stop. This can cause damage to the teeth of the steering rack and pinion, which can subsequently lead to jamming of the steering gear at the most inopportune moment.

To avoid incorrect installation, the limiters (I) of the steering rod ball joints are colour coded. When removing or replacing a steering rod ball joint, ensure that the limiters of the correct colour are installed.
