All engines
1. Lubricate the piston with engine oil and insert it into the sleeve. Using the special tool, install the rings into the piston grooves. Insert the pistons so that the upper edge of the surface of the connecting rod and the upper end of the sleeve are parallel. The arrows in the piston crowns must point in a certain direction:
- 4-cylinder petrol engine - Arrows to flywheel
- Turbocharged diesel engine - Prechamber side towards injectors, away from oil filter side
- V6 engines - Arrows to pulley
2. On the bottom surface of the sleeve, put on a new sealing ring, put on the second sealing ring (diesel engine) or sealing gasket (V6 engine).
3. Insert the liners into the cylinder block without turning them over, having previously determined the installation size of the cylinder liners.
4. Further assembly is carried out in accordance with the instructions for assembling the engine of the corresponding model.
5. Connecting rods carbureted engine 1995 cm3 either can be drilled near the connecting rod bearing, or do not have a channel.
6. The connecting rods of 4-cylinder fuel-injected engines have an oil hole, so oil can splash on the bottom surface of the pistons. In this case, the upper liners have an oil hole, which should provide oil to the connecting rod bearings. There are no holes in the lower bearing shells. The lubrication holes in the connecting rods must be on the same side as the oil filter.
