2. Disconnect the battery and drain the coolant from the cooling system.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Remove the block of cylinders, being guided by instructions for the corresponding engine. Also remove the timing mechanism (mark all details).
5. Remove oil pump sprocket with chain on V6 engine, oil pan (together with the plate, if installed), oil pump and drive shaft on a 4-cylinder engine, an oil supply pipe on a diesel engine, an oil intake pipe, a mesh element of an oil receiver on a V6 engine.
6. Check up marking of rods and their covers. Otherwise, they must be numbered. Cover No. 1 is located on the side of the flywheel of the engine (see illustration). Pin all the details (No. 1 - one notch, No. 2 - two notches, etc.)

7. Turn away nuts of a rod and remove a cover. Start with one of the two crankshaft crankpins at BDC.
8. Remove the liners and place them in the lid.
9. Using a punch, push the piston, connecting rod, and sleeve assembly out. Install the cap on the connecting rod immediately.
10. Remove the other kits in the same way.
11. All parts are covered with a protective film, which must be removed before assembly. Before cleaning, remove each set from the packaging and mark the parts with the letters A, B, C and D (or numbers 1,2,3 and 4). This will come in handy if the same parts are installed again.
