Special tool:
- Brake pressure test kit - Fre. 244-03 or 1085-01
Tightening torques:
- Brake pipe attachment - 14 Nm
- Compensator bolt - 18 Nm
- Adjusting bolt - 10 Nm
Removing
1. Put the car on a lift.
2. Press a brake pedal and fix it in this position.
3. Disconnect the compensator rod from the rear axle beam.
4. Mark places of installations of brake tubes on the compensator and disconnect tubes.
5. Remove the heat shield.
6. Turn away two bolts of fastening and remove the compensator.
7. Loosen, but do not completely remove, the bolt (1) compensator bracket.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
Adjustment
Adjustment is carried out by changing the position of the rod (2) compensator relative to the sleeve with loosened adjusting bolt (1).
Attention! Nut position (3) do not change the compensator.
Examination
Connect pressure gauges to the brake fittings of one circuit.
Bleed the gauges by loosening the screw (R).
Depress the brake pedal until the pressure in the front brake is set to 100 bar.
The pressure in the rear wheel brake should be 29-47 bar.
Note. The pressure is measured with a full fuel tank and with the driver behind the wheel.
