Removal
- lift the wheel from the desired side and remove it;
- trace the wiring from the sensor to the contact connector and release it from the common harness;
- disconnect the contact connectors on the sensor wiring;

- unscrew the bolt securing the sensor to the rear suspension trailing arm (Figure 7.41);
- remove the sensor together with the wiring;
- measure the resistance of the sensor, which should be approximately 1.2 kOhm.
Installation
- apply universal grease to the end of the sensor;
- clean the mating surfaces of the sensor and the rear suspension arm;
- install the sensor into the hole by hand. Screw in and tighten the sensor mounting bolt to the specified torque;
- check the gap between the toothed ring and the sensor, which should be 0.10–0.19 mm. The gap is not adjustable, so if it does not match the specified value, contact Renault specialists;
- perform the remaining operations in the reverse order of removal.
