Removing
- lift the wheel from the desired side and remove it;
- trace the wiring from the sensor to the connector and release it from the common harness;
- disconnect the connectors on the sensor wiring;

- unscrew the bolt securing the sensor to the trailing arm of the rear suspension (Figure 7.41);
- remove the sensor along with the wiring;
- measure the resistance of the sensor, which should be approximately 1.2 kΩ.
Installation
- apply universal grease to the end of the sensor;
- clean the mating surfaces of the sensor and the rear suspension arm;
- install the sensor by hand into the hole. Screw in and tighten the sensor fastening bolt to the set torque;
- check the gap between the gear ring and the sensor, which should be 0.10–0.19 mm. The gap is not adjustable, so if it does not match the specified one, contact Renault specialists;
- perform other operations in the reverse order of removal.
