Move off in first gear. Then, as the car accelerates and reaches the appropriate speeds, sequentially turn on the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth (if available) transmission.
To engage reverse gear, move the lever to neutral and then to reverse gear.

Proper driving techniques
Do not go downhill in neutral: this is very dangerous. Always keep the gear on.
Do not have a driving habit that requires you to brake hard. This leads to overheating of the brakes and a decrease in their efficiency. On long descents, engine braking should be applied to prevent overheating of the brakes (downshift).
Slow down the vehicle slightly when shifting down. This will prevent an excessive increase in engine speed, which can lead to damage to the latter.
In strong crosswinds, slow down the speed of the vehicle, this will improve its handling.
Make sure the vehicle is at a complete stop before engaging reverse gear. Otherwise, you may damage the gearbox. To move the lever to reverse gear, first depress the clutch pedal, move the lever to neutral, wait 3 seconds, and then move the lever to reverse.
Be especially careful when driving on slippery roads. Drive carefully when braking, accelerating and shifting gears. On slippery roads, sudden changes in speed can cause loss of traction and loss of vehicle control.
