Pull lever 1 slightly upwards, press button 2 and lower the lever to floor level (Fig. 1.85).

When driving with the parking brake not fully released, a red indicator light on the instrument panel comes on.
Engaging the parking brake
Pull the handle up and make sure the car is securely braked.
Attention! Depending on the slope of the road and/or the vehicle load, in order to brake the vehicle reliably, it may be necessary to tighten the parking brake at least two more clicks, or, on a vehicle with a manual transmission, engage the gear (first or reverse), and in a car with an automatic transmission, set the selector to position P.
