Check and correct the system only when the tires are cold.
If it is possible to measure the pressure only in warm tires, increase the recommended values by 0.2–0.3 bar.
Never bleed hot tires to correct air pressure.
Operating principle
Every wheel (except spare) has a sensor built into the valve, which regularly measures the pressure in the tire.
From the display on the instrument panel, the driver constantly receives information about the level of tire pressure.

Wheel interchangeability
Pic. 1.94. Wheel interchangeability scheme
Each of the sensors built into the valve 1 is attached to a wheel, therefore, in no case should the wheels be interchanged (pic. 1.94).
Otherwise, there is a danger of receiving incorrect information, which can have serious consequences.
To correctly install the wheels, pay attention to the color of the ring 2 around each valve (clean them if they are covered in dust or dirt) (pic. 1.94):
- A: yellow ring;
- B: black ring;
- C: red ring;
- D: green ring.
Examples of messages that may appear on the display
«Tire pressure needs to be adjusted»
The filled image of wheel B indicates that the tire pressure is insufficient or excessive.
«Inflate a tire for highway driving»
Tire pressure does not match speed. Reduce speed or increase air pressure in all tires to «operation on highways».
«Tire pressure sensor not working»
Wheel A, whose image has disappeared, does not have a sensor, or the sensor is defective (e.g. if a spare wheel is fitted).
«Puncture - change wheel»
Replace wheel B or contact a Renault dealer.
