Heater, ventilation with air recirculation and air conditioning
Heating and ventilation control panel
A - Air temperature regulator; B - Air distribution regulator; С - Button for switching on the mode of temporary isolation of the passenger compartment (air recirculation mode); D - Control lamp for switching on the air recirculation mode; E - Regulator for air intake into the cabin; F - Button for turning on the air conditioner; G - Control lamp for turning on the air conditioner
Air temperature control
Produced with handle A.
Right extreme position of the handle: maximum possible air temperature.
Left extreme position of the handle: minimum possible air temperature.
Regulation of air distribution in the passenger compartment
Produced with handle B.
Position
Air enters the cabin only through the central and side vents located on the control panel. This control position is not used if all deflectors are closed.
Position
The air is distributed between the control panel vents and the front and rear lower vents, which deliver air to the front and rear passenger footwells.
Position
Air enters the passenger compartment through all deflectors, nozzles and airflow slots on the front side windows and windshield.
Position
It is recommended to close the vents in the control panel for more efficient windscreen blowing.
All air enters the passenger compartment through the front side window defroster nozzles and slotted windshield defroster nozzles.
With this position of the regulator handle, the removal of condensate from the windows is more efficient if the air conditioner is turned on at the same time.
Regulation of the amount of air entering the cabin
Produced by handle E, which can be in one of the positions from "0" before "6".
The passenger compartment is ventilated using a fan. The operating mode of the fan determines the amount of air entering the passenger compartment. Vehicle speed has little effect on ventilation intensity.
The use of forced interior ventilation with a fan allows for high stability of the air temperature in the cabin.
The operating mode of the fan and the amount of air entering the passenger compartment depend on the position of the regulator E: the farther from the position "0" the regulator knob is turned, the more air is supplied to the passenger compartment.
Recirculation mode
Button C
It should be borne in mind that for the normal operation of ventilation and heating systems, an influx of fresh outside air is required. Activating the interior isolation mode from outside atmospheric air can be useful when driving in dusty areas or in polluted atmospheres.
To turn on the recirculation mode, press button C.
Air recirculation mode allows you to maximize the heating of the passenger compartment.
Button C is used to turn on and off the air recirculation mode. When the air recirculation mode is switched on, the control lamp D lights up. At the same time, the communication between the passenger compartment and the atmosphere is interrupted, and fresh outside air does not enter the passenger compartment.
Prolonged use of interior isolation mode (in the absence of fresh air) Not recommended. This may result in moisture condensation ("fogging") and the formation of frost on the windows in cold weather, as well as the appearance of foreign odors.
Therefore, after driving through a section of terrain with a polluted atmosphere, it is recommended to return to the normal ventilation mode as soon as possible by pressing button C again.
Air conditioner controls
The F button is used to turn the air conditioner on and off.
The air conditioning system operates when the control knob E is in position "0". The air conditioning system provides:
- lowering the air temperature in the cabin, which is especially useful in hot weather when driving around the city or when the car is parked in an open area under direct sunlight;
- reducing the humidity of the air entering the cabin (it reduces the tendency to "fogging" glasses).
Note: The air conditioning system can be used in all conditions, but not at low ambient temperatures.
F button off (indicator lamp G does not light up)
The air conditioning system is not working.
Ventilation and heating systems can function similarly to the case discussed above, when there is no air conditioning system on the car.
F button pressed (indicator lamp G lights up)
The air conditioning system is on.
Fresh outside air constantly enters the car interior.
