At night, the towed vehicle must have its side lights on.
In addition, towing of the vehicle must be carried out with mandatory compliance with the requirements of local traffic regulations and current restrictions on the permissible weight of the towed vehicle. Contact the manufacturer's service station.
Attention:
- Do not remove the key from the ignition while towing.
- Tow with a rigid hitch. When towing with a rope or cable (if this is permitted by current legislation) the braking system of the towed vehicle must be in good condition.
- Do not tow a vehicle with a faulty chassis.
- Avoid jerking when accelerating and braking, as this may cause vehicle malfunction.
- In all cases, it is recommended to tow at a speed of no more than 25 km/h.
- When the engine is stopped, the power steering and brakes do not work.
Use only the front (1) and rear (5) towing eye mounting locations.
The towing eye mounting locations are for towing purposes only; do not use them directly or indirectly to lift a vehicle under any circumstances.
Open the cover (3 or 4) by inserting a flat-head screwdriver under the cover.
Screw in the towing hook (2) until it stops: first screw the towing ring until it stops by hand, then tighten it completely with the wheel lug wrench.
Attention:
- Use only the towing hook (2) and wheel lug wrench located under the luggage compartment carpet.
- Never leave tools unsecured as they may fall out when braking.
