At night, the towed vehicle must have side lights on.
In addition, the vehicle must be towed in compliance with local traffic regulations and applicable towing weight limits. Contact the manufacturer's service station.
Attention:
- Do not remove the key from the ignition during towing.
- Carry out towing on a rigid hitch. When towing with a rope or cable (if permitted by applicable law) The brake system of the towed vehicle must be in good condition.
- Do not tow a vehicle with a defective undercarriage.
- Avoid jerking when accelerating and braking, as this may cause a malfunction of the vehicle.
- In all cases, it is recommended to tow at a speed of no more than 25 km/h.
- When the engine is stopped, the power steering and brakes do not work.
Use only the mounting points of the towing eyes in front (1) and behind (5).
Towing eye locations are for towing purposes only; never use them directly or indirectly to lift the vehicle.
Open the lid (3 or 4), by inserting a flathead screwdriver under the cover.
Screw in the tow hook (2) as far as it will go: first screw the towing ring until it stops by hand and then finally tighten it with the wheel wrench.
Attention:
- Use only the tow hook (2) and wheel wrench located under the luggage compartment mat.
- Never leave tools loose as they may fall out when braking.
