Disconnect the trailer, if the vehicle has one.
In addition, the vehicle must be towed in compliance with local traffic regulations and applicable towing weight restrictions.
Mounting locations for towing eyelets front and rear
Use only the mounting points of the towing eyes located at the front 1 and at the rear 2.
The towing eyes are for towing purposes only; never use them directly or indirectly to lift the vehicle.
All wheel drive vehicles (4WD)
Regardless of the type of gearbox, you must not tow a four-wheel drive vehicle if one of its wheels is in contact with the ground.
Under no circumstances should you tow a four-wheel drive vehicle, whichever method of towing is chosen, if one of its 4 wheels is touching the ground (except for off-road towing). There is a risk of damage to mechanical components.
Off-road towing
If your vehicle is stuck in sand, snow, mud, etc., attach the flexible hitch (towing rope or other device specially designed for towing) to the front or rear towing eye.
When a 4x4 vehicle gets stuck (4WD) it can only be towed for short distances. There is a risk of damage to mechanical components.
Vehicles with automatic transmission
If the selector is locked in position P, with the brake pedal depressed, it can be released manually.
To do this, detach the cover at the base of the lever.
Simultaneously press button 3 and release button 4.
